Over the years, Sri Sathya Sai Matriculation Higher Secondary School has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community service. Our students have consistently achieved outstanding results in national examinations, and our alumni have excelled in diverse fields, including science, arts, business, and public service.
The school is managed by the Erode Sai Educational Trust and is inspired by the educational philosophy of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. It began its journey in 1991 on Vijaya Dasami Day under the name Sri Sathya Sai Balagurukulam in Erode. Starting with just three students and two teachers, the school aimed to integrate Educare with the curriculum while nurturing students with good character and academic proficiency.
The school initially developed gradually, reaching up to VII Standard with a student strength of 110. In 1998, it was relocated to its present location and renamed Sri Sathya Sai Matriculation School. The inauguration plaque was blessed by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba on May 3, 1998, during His journey to Kodaikanal.
The school is situated on land owned by the Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Tamil Nadu, and has benefited from the support of donors from Tamil Nadu, other states, and abroad. The main building, including the Mandir on the ground and first floors, was constructed first, followed by the addition of a second floor. In 2012, further expansions were made, including the construction of a Vinayakar Temple, KG Activity Room, Sports Room, Quarters, Prayer Hall, and restrooms for boys and girls.
